I was the Marketing Manager for the 2019 Downtown Dash Committee and the Marketing Manager Elect for the 2018 Downtown Dash Committee. As Marketing Manager, I was responsible for all of the branding and promotional materials for the event. Since I am a graphic designer by training, I did all of the designs rather than contracting them out. I was also in charge of securing advertisements, planning scheduled social media content, and reaching out to local media before and after the event. All of the graphic design I worked on for Downtown Dash was created in Adobe Illustrator.
Promotional
This is the primary flyer and sponsorship packet documents for the 2019 Downtown Dash race. I was responsible for building these assets and coming up with the overall branding for the year after being given the race theme of "Movie Madness." I did not design the original Downtown Dash logo.
Email and Website
Materials were used on our League website, in marketing emails for local organizations, and on the website and emails from the race management company. I created these assets and coordinated their distribution with partners as needed.
Social Media
A majority of our marketing used photos from previous race days, but these additional items were used for social media promotions. The photo frame was created in the old Facebook frame studio that League members could use to add an overlay on profile pictures.
Billboards
These advertisements were displayed on digital billboards in Little Rock. I created the designs using specifications from the advertising company.
Advertisements
Variations of these designs were used for print advertisements and website banner ads. I was responsible for creating all of the designs and coordinating with different magazines and websites to buy ad space.
For Runners
The shirt design and race bibs were different in 2019 than in previous years, but the medal remained the same. I was in charge of the designs as well as coordinating with the t-shirt and race management companies.
Sponsorships
Sponsors were recognized in our online marketing, on participant t-shirts, and on printed race day signage. I made these designs and purchased the signs through the marketing budget.

I was not directly responsible for a majority of the designs in 2018, but I did work on these materials.
